I'm Roberta, "Barbie" for short. :) Everyone who knows me couldn't comprehend the relationship between my given name & my nickname. Well, it took me 20 years to finally defend it. ha ha! Thanks to babynames.com =))

Roberta has its origins in the Germanic language. It is used largely in English, German, and Italian. Two-element name derived from hruod and berht with the meanings 'fame' and 'bright, famous' respectively.
